It's all about me!
The purpose of the party is to celebrate my 600th day on Xanga, so for one thing, favorite posts from throughout the 599 days will be reposted. Things to be reposted can include icons, surveys, quotes, poems, or just witty paragraphs that I've conjured out of the depths of my brain.
The awards!
I'm not a selfish person, though, so that's pretty much all that will be heard about me. There are tons of other things that I will offer. Probably the most interesting to you Xanga Webmasters and Webmistresses will be the contests. Nominees will be posted at 12:01 AM eastern time on Monday January 2. You will be allowed to vote for various websites in our polls. The polls will be open until 12:00 PM that night, when they will be closed. The winners will be posted at 6:00 PM eastern time on Tuesday January 3.
The catagories are the following.
Best Layout Site: This award will be given to the website with the best layouts. Your layout site should offer good quality layouts. The layouts should be fun, pretty, and original. The layouts you offer must be made by you, and you shouldn't submit an entry form if you are just posting other people's layouts. A good variety of layouts should be offered on your website for you to receive a higher score. There will be a total of five nominees in this catagory. There can be as many as two winners in this catagory. The layout site with the highest vote will receive the Favorite award, but the site that I find the best will receive Best Layout Site award.
Best Survey Site: This award will be given to the website with the best surveys. You must offer a variety of surveys. This catagory is slightly different than the layout site catagory, seeing as that you can post other people's surveys on your website. The website with the best collection of surveys will win whether original or not. The surveys on your site can be either blank or filled out because either way it will not hurt your score. There will be a total of ten nominees in this catagory. There can be as many as two winners in this catagory. The survey site with the highest vote will receive the Favorite award, but the site that I find the best will receive the Best Survey Site award.
Best Icon Site: This award will be given to the website with the best icons. You must offer a variety of icons. This catagory is like the survey site catagory in that you can post other people's icons on your website. The website with the best collection of icons will win whether the icons are original or not. Your icons should be a little organized for you to get a higher score, and if your site just takes way too long to load, you probably won't even be a nominee. There will be five nominees in this catagory. There can be as many as two winners in this catagory. The icon site with the highest vote will receive the Favorite award, but the site that I find the best will receive the Best Icon Site award.
Best Quote Site: This award will be given to the website with the best quotes. You must offer quotes that are actually good. Quotes can include things like poems, lines from movies, or excerpts from books. You will receive a lower score if your quote site is a little too corny, but a site featuring poems with good meanings will stand a better chance in being a nominee. There will be five nominees in this catagory. There can be as many as two winners in this catagory. The quote site with the highest vote will receive the Favorite award, but the site that I find the best will receive the Best Quote Site award.

I know you're staring at that statement and going, "HUH?!" Just let me explain. Your dress is your website. Make your website as fancy or as festive as possible, and when you arrive at the party, I will have a guest list for you to sign. Anyone on the guest list is automatically entered in the best dressed contest. The best dressed person will receive the Best Dressed award. You'll be posted alongside other award winners.
That isn't all though. You should know that there will be tons of surprises throughout the day. Be there or be square.

The more advertisement that I get, the bigger the party will be. The bigger the party, the more important the awards. I can't get to everyone, though. To do your part in making this party possible, feel free to invite your friends. Just post this banner along with a link:
